No job is exactly the same as another and the quotation you receive will be affected by a number of factors, including some of the following:
With translations:
- translation type: is the translation professional (with proof-reading) or first-draft ?
- vocabulary: is it general or specialised ?
- lead time and document size
With interpreting:
- type and method
- number of hours/days involved
The guideline rates are shown below for general orientation:
- first-draft translation - from £59 per 1,000 words
- professional translation with proofreading - from £89 per 1,000 words
- interpreting - from £39 per hour
All the rates listed above are subject to VAT of 17.5%.
